| Bio: | Name: Zefiris What world they came from: Scrapped Princess anime Birthday: March 21 (made-up, first day of spring) Age: 5000 years old, give or take a century or two. She actually looks like a girl in her early teens. Species: A weapon of the Dragoon class, artificial intelligence Occupation: After the Reset, she lived with the Casull family, helping out around the farm. Appearance: She wears her ankle-length straight lilac hair loose with a large purple bow on the back of her head. She has darker lilac eyes and pale skin. Her standard outfit is a dark pink long-sleeved dress over matching pants with brown boots. Special abilities/talents: Because she’s an AI, she doesn’t have any human needs (such as eating or breathing) and doesn’t age. She is not subject to the elements if she so chooses; the wind does not necessarily ruffle her hair nor does water wet her. She can float and teleport at will. She can alter human minds, though she won’t because she respects free will. She can perform scans of the area and of life forms. She can eat food and can bear a child with someone, a topic covered in the original novel. She does not exude a presence, such as an aura, and is thus easily missed by those with any sort of spiritual sense. I expect that she can hack computers because she is an AI, though this never becomes an issue since the Scrapped Princess world has the technological advances of the Middle Ages. I would also expect super-strength and speed, though she never demonstrates it. She can merge with her D-Knight in order to unlock her offensive powers. At the lowest level, she augments the D-Knight’s strength and allows him the use of an energy beam. The highest form of merging is a huge black dragon that is super-strong and super-fast with the use of energy beams and regeneration. Quirks: She tends to observe people clinically and makes comments to that effect, unsettling people around her. She also tends to appear suddenly. Personality: Trust is a huge issue with her. In order to reach her full potential as a weapon, she must merge with someone who trusts her completely. To date, only two people have been mentioned as trusting her upon first meeting her: her first master Beckenham Mauser and the Providence Breaker (Scrapped Princess) Pacifica Casull. Zefiris says that it was Beckenham’s trust in her that allowed her to survive the programming failure that felled many of the other Dragoons. She is generally cold and aloof, trying to put the mission first and unsure about interacting with people in a non-life-threatening situation. Those who know her know that she is actually shy, soft-spoken, and rather sweet. Losing Beckenham hurt her deeply and probably caused her to build the cold façade. She will manipulate people if it must be done for the mission, but she does it reluctantly. She will not antagonize anyone on purpose, even her enemies. The mission is the most important factor in her life, dictating most of her actions. Her focus can lead to self-destructive behavior, such as upgrading her systems almost to the point of collapse. Conflicts between her morals and her mission lead to moral quandaries, but the mission will always win if it comes down to it. As she spends more time with people, she exhibits more human behavior (blushing, being flustered). Sexual orientation: Not properly a human, she doesn’t tend to interact with others in a potentially sexual nature. I would think she would lean towards heterosexuality, given how much she loved her master Beckenham and the fact that in the novels, Dragoons could actually fall in love and start a family. She would be very unsure about anything further than friendship, though she could definitely fall in love. Just very gradually. Reputation: She was considered a demon by most people in her world before the Reset. To those few who know her, she is a friend or family member. She has very little interaction with the majority of the populace, though she is in good standing with the local royal family. Background Information: She was originally created as a weapon to combat alien invaders. Of the Dragoon-class weapons created, over 100 of them failed do to programming problems. Twenty-six models remained, bonded to human D-Knights to prevent further problems. The humans fail when one of their own, a psychic named Celia Mauser, betrays them. The second class of AI weapons, the advanced Valkyrie-class, is used by the aliens to police the human race within an isolated computer system. Her D-Knight Beckenham Mauser dies during the war and sends Zefiris off to stop the aliens’ control of Earth when the opportunity arises in the future. Five millennia later, the key to stopping the aliens is born. Pacifica Casull, the Providence Breaker, must make it to her 16th birthday to break the computer system keeping humans from reaching the stars. Along with Pacifica ’s adopted siblings, Shannon and Raquel Casull, Zefiris works to protect Pacifica from the Peacemakers, the Valkyrie-class weapons. Pacifica is killed on her 16th birthday, releasing her powers. Reasoning with Celia Mauser within the system, the world is reset and the Peacemakers are destroyed. After Pacifica is revived, the three Casull siblings move into a small house in the country with Zefiris helping them out with chores. | |||||||||
